We can help you explore various areas of the region and get a feel for them. Depending on whether you are looking for a trendy, rural, glitzy, familial, sporty, cultural or relaxing atmosphere, different cities of the Riviera are recommended.
Likewise, you may want a property in a gated community, or be totally surrounded by nature, you may want sea, or mountain views, or both!
We will also tell you about traffic, distance to the airport, availability of renowned restaurants, tourist attractions and activities for the children...
(**) We will then conduct the search for you as detailed in the process page. Thus doing, we will provideyou with the core of our services.
First we will save you time, lots of it. We will make all the first visits for you, contact the sellers, Notaries, Real Estate agents...
We will send you detailed reports, discuss and refine the search with you as we go along. In the end, you will only need a couple of days to visit in person the properties you are most interested in. The process of spending entire days of perusing advertisements, making phone calls, taking appointments, following directions, visiting uninteresting properties is up to us.
Once we have established a short list together, just hop on a plane and enjoy a couple of days in the South of France. We will pick you up at the airport, drive you to your hotel, accompany you on each visit of your short listed properties, so that you can concentrate on the most important: choose the Riviera home of your dreams.
Second, you will benefit from our local network of contacts and our knowledge of the area.
We have a keen idea of the prices and trends in a given area. We know all the small cities and villages surrounding major cities. The property of your dreams may be in La Colle sur Loup, right next to St Paul de Vence or in Mougins, right next to Cannes,or in Eze, next to Villefranche and you might overlook it through a conventional Internet or Agent search.
Besides, we are independent since we are exclusively working for you. Local Real Estate agents will, quite understandably, show the properties that are listed in their portfolios, thus limiting your choice. You have the luxury, through our services, to use most of the foremost Real Estate agents in any given area.
Furthermore, we will also search for you with individuals, local Notaries, developpers, etc...
We provide you with the widest range of possibilities within the parameters of the agreed upon search mandate.
Third, once you have made your choice,we will assist you in understanding all the intricacies of the French regulations and through every step of the purchasing process. Beyond the simple process of purchasing Real Estate in France, which may be complicated enough, there are taxation and legal issues, such as inheritance for example, that are to be taken into consideration.
Obviously, we are not qualified to provide such advice on such matters, but we will gladly assist you in identifying some of them, introduce you to qualified English speaking professionals (lawyers, bankers, tax advisors, doctors...). We will help you understand and translate documents and procedures related to the purchase.
We DO NOT provide any advice not directly related to the purchase of real estate property within the frame of the search mandate agreed upon and signed between you and Riviera Hunt. You must secure licensed and goverment sanctioned help from professionals in all other matters, such as financing, insurance, legal and tax considerations, respect of French as well as your country's laws and regulations, international treaties and so forth.
For more official information on the subject, please consult the English language website of the Notaires of France, who are government appointed officers and are the only sanctioned corporation in France to complete and oversee Real Estate transactions.
More importantly, we can be your primary contact in communicating with the different parties involved in the project: Notaries, sellers, Real Estate agents if applicable, bankers... Please note that we cannot and will not make any commitment on your behalf to any other third party. We can and will however relay information between the parties.

Once the deed of conveyance has been completed at the Notary's office, it is time to move in and get organized.
We will assist you in identifying and securing local help: doctors, movers, gardeners, bankers, pool technicians, babysitters, lawyers, security company and alarm systems, cleaning services, property management services, caterers, coaches, masseuse, sailing boat or yacht brokers and charterers, limousine services, etc...
We will recommend websites, networks, restaurants, museum, tourist atractions, associations, night life and be generally available on the phone to provide you with advice on living in the South of France.
